10 Productivity Tips for Working from Coworking Space

Coworking spaces are relatively new and it can be a place where people share ideas, have organized space, and the tools they need for their daily work. Coworking spaces allow people to exchange strategies in common projects and it’s still a cheap way to have a workspace while working remotely.

However, since there are a lot of people in the coworking office, you may get distracted and your productivity might not be the same as if you were working at your office or even your home. That’s why we show you 10 tips to increase your productivity while working at a coworking space.

  1. Create a To-Do List Before You Start Working

To-do lists are a great tool for boosting productivity right from the beginning of your day. Creating a to-do list will allow you to prioritize your activities so you can work on the most important first. Besides, it’ll be satisfying for you to remove them once you complete them. And of course, it’ll keep you motivated.

  1. Take Regular Breaks

Even though we want to stay productive, it doesn’t mean you need to be a workaholic. Taking breaks will allow your brain to rest and do tasks more efficiently once you start working again. If you don’t take breaks, you’ll get tired, and it’ll be harder for you to continue working with the same efficiency.

  1. Create an Efficient Work Schedule

You’re not at the office. That means you don’t have a tight schedule that tells you when you start or when you finish. This will end up in a lack of productivity because you may get distracted and not work as many hours as you should. Creating a clear work schedule will not only make you more productive, but you can also plan your break times. This way, you’ll make sure to take breaks.

  1. Connect with Coworkers Only for Productive Matters

One of the best aspects of working at a coworking space is that you’re able to exchange ideas with other people. However, you shouldn’t let that be a distraction for you. Keep your conversations within the subject of work. And, of course, you can work about anything on your break. Maybe you could even synchronize your breaks with your colleagues, just like you’d do at an office.

  1. Reward Yourself for Good Work

Don’t be so hard at yourself. Whenever you achieve a goal, make sure you reward yourself. This will allow you to stay motivated in your work and even create new goals. The fact that you work alone doesn’t mean you need to neglect yourself.

  1. Maintain a Clean Workspace

A dirty and unorganized workplace is a reflection of what’s going on in your mind. Even if you think you have everything under control, having a dirty workspace will demotivate you and you won’t work as efficiently as you would in a clean one.

  1. Keep Track of the Performance of Daily Tasks

Sometimes it doesn’t matter if you make a great plan, it just doesn’t work all the time. Keeping track of your daily performance will allow you to identify what’s making you unproductive.

  1. Forget about Procrastination

Procrastination isn’t a problem you’ll only find at a coworking space. Everybody can procrastinate anywhere, and this is something you don’t want to have in your work routine. To defeat procrastination, you need to break your tasks into subtasks and create deadlines for each one.

  1. Your Work Routine Doesn’t Have to Be Monotonous

There’s nothing more dangerous for productivity than a monotonous environment. And this has more to do with your work than the actual coworking space. This is why breaks are so important. Don’t dive yourself into an eight-hour workday without breaks and you can play around with the time you take breaks when you’re planning your daily work routine.

  1. Leverage Technology

There are a lot of tools you can use to keep yourself productive, from task-management tools to grammar checking ones that save you time from having to proofread. There are even cloud platforms where you can save all your files and organize them by different filters. You only have to stick to the ones that fit your work routine.
